DECODING STORIES
SCRIPTWRITING SERVICES TO ASSIST scriptwriters along the creative process
About
DECODING STORIES is a script consultancy that sees screenwriting as an art form — not a formula. Since 2011, we’ve supported writers around the world in telling authentic stories that reflect their unique voice and vision. We work closely with each scriptwriter to explore their natural writing style and the deeper meaning of their story.
We offer two distinct but complementary services: SCRIPT DEVELOPMENT, to help writers elevate and deepen their stories at any stage; and SOCIAL REPRESENTATSIONS CONSULTANCY, an innovative report that explores the cultural and social dimensions of your script.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen your story’s craft or reflect on how it resonates within a broader cultural context, we’re here to help you tell the story you truly want to tell.

Social Representations
A separate service for writers and production companies who want to reflect on the cultural and social dimensions of their stories
At DECODING STORIES, we believe the stories we tell shape the world we live in. That’s why we offer a distinct service focused on how your script portrays identity, society, and power dynamics.
This process invites you to reflect, not conform. It’s not about being politically correct or applying restrictions — it’s about sharpening your vision, refining nuance, and making sure the social dimensions of your story align with the message you truly want to communicate.
It can help you:
Add depth and nuance to characters — moving beyond binaries of good and evil
Avoid unintentional clichés or stereotypes
Understand how audiences might interpret the social dynamics in your story
Align your narrative with your values and creative goals
We look at how your script represents:
Gender and sexuality
Ethnicity and cultural identity
Social class and economic background
Mental health and neurodiversity
Disability and functional diversity
Age and generational context
The report is developed in collaboration with a specialist in social identity and cultural representation in film and television, and crafted by our team to ensure the notes are practical, constructive, and always geared toward your writing process. We tailor our analysis to your script’s genre, tone, and intended audience — whether you’re writing an indie drama or a genre-bending thriller.
